Hello and welcome! It’s Blogmas day 8!
In today’s post, I’ll be decorating my room for Christmas! I’m so excited for this post.
This is the first year I’ve ever decorated for Christmas in my room! I started the decor planning in October and started buying the decor in early November. My goal was to keep it Christ-centered with decorations that have Biblical truth, easy to decorate, and, of course, Christmas-y! I totally blew my Christmas decor budget, even though I bought some of the decorations on sale. But it’s so worth it!
I won’t be able to share the before and after pictures, because I’m also in the process of re-decorating my room for its normal decorations. I’ll be creating a post about that as well!
I apologize for the low-quality images. I don’t understand how that happened.
Bible Verse: A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. – Proverbs 17:22
Prayer Prompt: Pray for a parent/guardian/role model in your life.
This is my nightstand! To start off, I have my “Days till Christmas” countdown from Hobby Lobby. It has a magnet on the back of the ornament outline that I move over the number of days till Christmas. On the right, I have these white, clay houses with lights from Target (sorry, I can’t link them because they’re no longer sold). These came in a two-pack and match the house “theme” next to the countdown. They’re so simple and cute. And finally, I have my devotional, Bring on The Merry by Candace Cameron Bure from Amazon. I love this devotional so far!
This is my bed area! If you move to your right from my nightstand, this is what you see! I added garland from Target in a “Z” pattern on my wall and added sting lights I purchased on Amazon. On my headboard is a sign that says “For unto us a Savior is born” from Hobby Lobby. I also decided to purchase a bright red body pillow cover from Amazon to make a bright red pop.
You can’t see in this picture, but there’s a green blanket on the end of my bed that I already owned.
I also really wanted to buy some Christmas pillows but didn’t end up buying any. All of the Christmas pillows were either too small, not my style, or over $25! Throw pillows are ridiculously expensive! Isn’t it just some fabric and stuffing? If you have any place that you like their throw pillows, let me know in the comments!
In the small window right above my bed, there’s a sign that’s called “Christmas Prayer” from Hobby Lobby and says “May this Christmas bring happiness into our homes, peace within our lives and Jesus into our hearts. Help us remember this season is about the birth of your son and his love for us. We ask for you to humble our hearts and bless us this Christmas.”
And this is the candle I have in my window. There’s a candle in every window of my house during Christmas time (thank you, Mom!). They look absolutely gorgeous on the outside! I took these photos on a cloudy day and with the leaves not on the tree, the outside doesn’t look very pretty.
Here’s my desk! I have my 2 foot Christmas tree with little pinecones from Hobby Lobby with burlap on the bottom! I added fairy lights from Target they really added to the tree! It’s so cute and I absolutely love having it on my desk! Underneath the tree, I have some Ghiradell Pepermtn bark which is my favorite this time of year!
Here’s a closer picture of the sign underneath the tree on my desk. It’s a sign that’s called “The Magic of Christmas” from Hobby Lobby. It says “The magic of Christmas is not in the presents, but in His Presence” which is a great reminder.
Update: I was shopping for a Christmas candle at Target, and I found one for $3, so I also have that on my desk now. I can’t link it because it’s a Dollar Spot item.
That’s all the decorating I did! I may purchase some more little things through the season.
I’m in love with my Christmas room! I love the cozy vibes it has and the overall aesthetic. I’ll be so sad when I have to take it down.
Thank you so much for reading!
