My Skincare Routine | Collab With Diamond

Hello, hello!

I have such a fun post for today! The iconic duo is back (thanks Shiny @ Me Writes for the name) and I’m collabing with Diamond yet again! If you all haven’t followed her two amazing blogs (I Have 12% of A Plan and Build A Bears Furever) STOP right this minute and follow both of them! She is seriously one of the best bloggers around! It was also her birthday last Friday (see my birthday post for her here, so if you haven’t already go wish her a happy late birthday!

Diamond and I love bonding over Marvel, bullet journalling, Taylor Swift and so much more! We both love skincare and decided to share our daily skincare routines as a collab! So, here we are!

Disclaimer: I’m in no way a skincare expert. These are the products I’ve found work well for my skin. Even if a routine works for me, it may not for you. Also, this post is also NOT sponsored (although, if Cetaphil wants to sponsor me, I’d do it). All product opinions are my own.

Because of where I was in my menstrual cycle at the time of these pictures, my skin is worse than it normally is. I debated not posting these pictures because of it, but want to be someone online who shows their flaws and is transparent with my audience, and for that, I included them.

I’ll be sharing both my AM and PM skincare routine, but I’ll start with my AM. I’ll be linking all the products, but if you’d like additional information, comment below.

AM

Before I start my skincare routine, I put my hair up with a ponytail or claw clip and wash my hands. I also used my skincare headband today.

First, I use my Jade Roller! I do not have a skincare fridge, so I run it under the cold water for several seconds and dry of with a towel to create the cold, de-puffing effect. I roll the facial roller (the larger end) on my face starting from the middle towards my hairline for 1 minute, then go under my eyes with the eye roller (the smaller one) rolling from the inner corner towards my hairline. I do not always do this, but I like to as it de-puffs my face well!

Then, I wash my face using the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. I use about two pumps of this and massage it on my face for about two minutes. Then, I rinse off and pat dry with a towel.

Now, I apply my favorite serum, The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum. I have very oily skin and I’ve found this does so much to control my oily skin and dark spots! I apply about three large drops and massage into skin.

Then, I’ll apply my The Ordinary Caffeine 5% + ECGC Depuffing Eye Serum. I use one drop and gently pat in my under-eye area with my index finger. This has done wonders for my under-eye bags and circles!

After that, I’ll apply my Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. I love this moisturizer because it’s very lightweight and doesn’t make my face feel heavy when applied. I apply about 0.5 of a pump and make sure to moisturize my under eyes well as they tend to get dry in the winter.

Next up, I apply my Cetaphil Sheer Mineral Face Sunscreen! I make sure to rub it in well and put some on my neck if I remember. I let it dry for a few minutes before continuing on to my makeup if I wear any.

To finish, my eos Lip Balm in Coconut Milk.

That’s all for my AM skincare routine! It’s a six steep routine and takes me less than 5 minutes to complete. My face is still puffy as I do this as I do this routine first thing in the morning.

PM

Before my PM routine as well, I pull my hair back and wash my hands. The two routines are very similar, but are slightly different. For the steps that are the same, I will provide minimal information.

First, I was my face using the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser.

Then, I’ll use The Ordinairy Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toning Solution with a cotton pad! I pour the tonner on to the pad until it’s soaked and I swipe it over my face and neck. I make sure to let this dry completely before continuing.

Next, my The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum.

And my The Ordinary Caffeine 5% + ECGC Depuffing Eye Serum.

Then, the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, (Ignore the glob on my eyelid…)

To complete, eos Lip Balm in Coconut Milk.

And that’s all! My PM routine is five steps and takes about 5 minutes as well, assuming I don’t use a face mask.

I loved writing this post so much! And I loved this collab! Be sure to read Diamond’s skincare routine here! She did an awesome job!

Let’s chat about skinacre in the comments! How many steps is yours? What’s your favorite product/brand?

With love,

Miriam

    1. Haha, yes! Every product I use has a purpose and I’m very “strict” on keeping it minimal and don’t throw in extra products just for the sake of it. If that works for you, that’s great!

    1. Thanks, Shiny! Haha, yesss! I love mine. I found it for about $10 on Amazon if you’re interested. I’ve been doing it for so long and have gotten very efficient with it. I also love having all of my products easily accessible on my counter for the aesthetic. Aww, thank you so much!
