Hello and welcome!
I’m so excited about today’s post! I’ll be sharing my October bullet journal spreads and sharing how I start a bullet journal! All products used will be linked at the end of the post.
As I have mentioned, I got a new bullet journal! You might be confused because it’s October/not at the beginning of the year. I filled up my last bullet journal and needed a new bullet journal. Because I started in March, and it was a smaller bullet journal, I ended up needing a new one now. It’s a new fresh start for my birthday month! Let’s get into it!
Note: I’m sorry for the glare in the pictures. I didn’t notice it when I was taking the pictures.
Here’s my new bullet journal! It’s a very simple black, hardcover Paperage dotted journal. If you would like to buy the same, here’s the link! I was looking for a solid color journal so that I can decorate it with stickers. It has a 100 GMS paper thickness, which is a little thinner than I’d like, but I will hopefully get a thicker paged bullet journal next time. It was very affordable at $10.
Here is my grid spacing page and my monthly spread page! This is the first spread in my bullet journal. I’m very happy with how the grid spacing page turned out. I was inspired by AmandaRachLee and her grid spacing cheat sheet in her bullet journals. It’s already been very useful for this month’s spreads and highly recommend you try it out. To get a deeper explanation of what a grid spacing page is, watch this video by AmandaRachLee and start around the 4:16 minute mark.
The other page is a simple list of monthly spreads. I have two categories, standard and extra. The standards are the spreads I use every month, and the extra are spreads that I won’t use every month, but they are still fun to use depending on the month. I have a blank page after these spreads that I may add a task key, but I’m not sure yet.
Alright, now we’re on to my October bullet journal spreads! Before we start, let me tell you that this is my favorite theme I’ve ever done! The theme is a very fall-inspired leaf theme! I drew so many leaves!
This is the first page! I, of course, have my quote page on the left and my title on the right. I’ve been working on centering Jesus in my life and making Him my top priority! And, I who is obsessed with Fall and Jesus, had to use this quote! It says “Fall in love with Jesus”. It’s so cute!
Then for the title, I wrote October in a slightly thicker font with leaves piling on top. The idea was a huge pile of leaves was dumped on top of the title.
Here’s my calendar! It’s very simple. I drew my calendar with six by six squares. I didn’t include the thirty-first because another column that I didn’t have space for if I wanted to include the leaves. And for the days of the week, I went back and forth between the orange and the brown color.
Here are my habits and moods! These are self-explanatory, so I don’t need to say much here. I used the same spreads I usually do for my habits but did something different for my mood trackers.
For my mood tracker, I drew 31 leaves and titled them each with a different day of the month. Then I created my mood key with different fall colors as different moods for each day. This was such a fun idea!
And here’s the last one! I have my shopping and finances tracker on one page, and my prayer page on the other side. The shopping space is for shopping lists. The finance space is to keep track of my earning and spending. And the prayer page is to write down prayer requests. I always love my prayer page.
I really enjoyed this month’s spreads! This could easily be a November theme as well if you’d like to use it for November! Comment below if you’d like a leaf doodle tutorial.
That’s all for today’s post! Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed it!
Contest: As I’m sure you’ve noticed I drew a lot of leaves in these spreads. I’m having a little competition in the comments. Whoever can guess (or count if you want) the correct number of leaves in the images above, will get a shoutout in my next post on Thursday! Just comment below how many leaves you estimate or count, and I will announce the winner in two days! Have fun!
What theme should I do for my November bullet journal? I’d apricate your impute! What is your October theme?
Reminder: Jesus loves you!
