Major Life Update

Hello and welcome back!

First of all, I’m sorry I haven’t posted on here in about 6 weeks. I had to take an unofficial hiatus because of the start of the new school year. I’ve been insanely busy and haven’t had time for blogging. This is why I also haven’t been responding to emails, or responding to comments, or reading other blogs posts too. I am planning to catch up on posts very soon!

Today’s post will be a major life update! So much has changed since my last posts and I’m thrilled to share it with you all! This post will be a little longer. So, grab a snack, get a drink, and get all cozy.

I started my freshman year of high school at the beginning of August. I am still homeschooling.

School is going fine! The workload is larger and expectations are higher, but I was already prepared for that. I am taking five classes this year, plus I am slowly learning German and reading my driver’s ED book. My five classes are:

  • English I (studying autobiographies)
  • Business I
  • Physical Science (currently studying Physics)
  • Algebra I
  • Public Speaking

My favorite class this year is English I! My favorite subject is actually history, but I don’t have a history class this year. My least favorite class is Physical Science. I’ve never been great at science and I find it extremely confusing.

I’ve already been in school for six weeks! It’s felt both long and short. Only 30 weeks left! Anyone else ready for Thanksgiving break already?

A school day routine post is coming soon! So you can learn more about my daily life.

You read that correctly, I got my first *legit* job! I call this my “first *legit* job” because I’ve had small, irregular jobs for a couple years like babysitting, dog sitting, and Air B n B cleaning, but this is my first job with a regular paycheck and regular hours.

What is my job? I’m a gymnastics coach! I’ve done gymnastics for over five years and I’m so happy to be a coach now! I work with kids aged 5-11 with gymnastics and trampoline and tumbling.

I love my job! It’s fun, I’m working with kids, and teaching them something I’m passionate about! I’ve already been working for four weeks, two nights a week.

Because this is my first post in six weeks, I haven’t been doing much blogging. I am extremely behind on reading posts and I will hopefully catch up on this soon. My break was refreshing because I didn’t have to stress over blogging while I had multiple other commitments. That doesn’t mean I didn’t miss it!

As for upcoming posts, I have a long list! I’ll get back on my schedule every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00 CDT. I’m looking forward to those!

I thought this was an important update to include! Recently, God’s been showing me so much! I’ve been intentional about reading my Bible, praying, and worshiping Him! It’s so beautiful seeing how He’s working in my life.

Here are some truths that have been on my heart recently!

God’s in control. My past doesn’t define me, Jesus does. His name is truth. God created the absolutely beautiful world I live in. I couldn’t live without Jesus. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus loves me and that is why I am valuable.

I pray that those reminded you of God’s faithfulness and goodness!

Some other life updates are that my Youth Group is back in full swing for the school year! We meet one evening a week and discuss the Gospel and have a great time doing it!

I’ll be getting my driver’s permit soon! It’s crazy to think that I could be driving soon. I’m going to start studying soon, and hopefully, take the test!

My birthday is coming up! I’ll be turning fifteen! Wow, that’s crazy!

Thank you so much for reading! Again, I’m sorry that I disappeared for six weeks. I’m so happy to be posting again!

Let’s talk in the comments! How are you? How’s school? Do you have a job? How’s your relationship with Jesus going? I would love to chat with you about anything you’d like!

Also, I updated my profile picture!

Next post will be on Tuesday! See you then!

Reminder: Jesus loves you!

    1. I know! I don’t like Algebra! The curriculum I use planned for the 9th graders to do Algebra II, but it was to hard, so now I’m doing Algebra I.
Wow, that’s so cool that you’re doing math two years above your grade level!

  1. Congratulations on your job! It must be so fun to work with kids 😄
I’m doing the same courses as you, though I’m almost done with my freshman year of high school. Public Speaking is so fun! I hope to see your speeches on your school blog once you get to that part of the course 💗

    1. Thank you so much, Sophia! It really is!
That’s right! I always forget how many other RPC students there are reading my posts!
Yeah, I’m enjoying public speaking! I’ll be sharing them on my school blog soon! I’ve done two so far, but I won’t be posting the first speech because I include some information that I don’t want online, but I’ll include most of the others!
      Thanks for commenting!

  2. Welcome back! I was just thinking about doing a life update post as well, because like you, I’ve been on an unofficial hiatus for a while…lol. I ran out of post ideas a long time ago 😂

Being a gymnastics coach sounds amazing! I used to do gymnastics when I was younger, but I stopped and am no longer flexible. 😂

You don’t like science??! lol, i love physics and have a whole book about it. XD It definitely can confusing, though!

    Great post! Love you!

    1. Thank you so much, Addie! Yay, a long comment!

You should totally do a life update post! I’ll read it as soon as I get caught up on all the other posts I need to read. *wink* If you ever need post ideas, you can text me!

It is! I’m enjoying it a lot! The funny thing is, is i\I’ve actually never been super flexible. I have really long legs and has made it far more difficult to have flexible legs. Haha!

Yeah, it’s not my thing. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy some sciences! I think I’ll enjoy Chemistry when I start. I just am not the biggest fan of Physics.

Thank you so much! I love you too! Jesus does too!

      1. Yay! 😂

Ok! I might do one next week, we’ll see! And thanks for the offer! I’ll probably take you up on that one, lol.

Haha, same with me! I kind of used to be flexible but then I grew and that all went away 😂

I’m excited for Chemistry as well! I took Physical Science last year, and this year I’m taking Biology. 🙂

        1. Oh, yay! Well, I’d be happy to help!

That’s how it works, unfortunately! It’d be nice if we could just stay as flexible as we were when we were little.

Yeah, I think it’ll be neat! Oh, cool!

Thank you so much! I’m happy with it!

Yeah, I knew that you were not too much younger than me. But, as of now, I’m fourteen! Hahaha.

Thank you so much, Evin! I love you!

  3. So happy you’re back! My blogging has been so all over the place as well due to all the school I have to get done!!!
That’s so awesome that you’re a gymnastics-coach! I’m a ballet teacher this year too, and I love it!

    1. Me too! It feels so good to be posting again!

No shame! We all have busy schedules and have more important priorities, like Jesus! Not that I enjoy cutting blogging from my “have to do” list, but sometimes it’s necessary.

Yeah! It’s so fun to teach kids gymnastics! Whoa, that’s neat! I used to do ballet, but I wasn’t blessed with any ballet talent! Haha, so I only did it for a year and a half.

      Thanks for commenting!
