Movies & TV Shows I’ll Be Watching This Summer

Hello and welcome! Happy Tuesday!

I’m so excited about this post! Today, I’ll be sharing with you my summer watchlist! I have a lot of titles on this list, so I most likely won’t watch them all, but I can watch them all year round.

In The Heights

All my Hamilton fans know what I’m talking about! I saw In The Heights in theaters on the 13th and it was so, so good! I absolutely loved it and recommend it to all my theater and musical lovers reading.

Loki

I’ve been watching the new Loki episodes every Wednesday and I love it! I’m really intrigued by how the plot will shape the series. The 3rd episode is released tomorrow exclusively on Disney+. I’m looking forward to it!

Black Widow

Yet again another Marvel movie! I’ve been waiting and waiting for this movie to be released. It’s been pushed back numerous times and I think I speak for most Marvel fans when I say I’m exhilarated that it’s finally coming out! The release date is July 9th!

Star Wars (the entire series)

Because I’m a Marvel fan, multiple friends (including Diamond and Lrose5) have recommended Star Wars to me. I’m really looking forward to watching the movies! I’ll let you all know what I think of the series as a whole in a later post once I’ve finished the series.

Stranger Things

I’ve been meaning to watch this series for a very long time. I’ve heard such great things about it! I really like Millie Bobby Brown ever since I watched Enola Holms (which I highly recommend!) and she’s in Stranger Things, so I’m definitely going to watch it.

Brooklyn 99

I started this TV show about a month ago, and it was kind of funny, it’s definitely not my favorite NBC comedy series, but I like to watch it when I need a little laugh. I’ll continue watching this throughout the summer.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

I’ve seen this all over Disney+, but never actually watched, but once Olivia Rodrigo went viral, I’m really looking forward to watching it! It’ll probably be kind of cheesy, like most Disney shows, but sometimes you need a light-hearted show to watch!

This Is Us

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – This Is Us is absolutely amazing! It’s one of my favorite TV shows out there. It’ll make you cry and laugh, and cry some more, and then you’ll laugh again. I recommend this to all my drama-loving friends!

Call The Midwife

I’ve been watching this show for a while now, and it’s so interesting! It’s all about midwifery in the 1950s in London. It’s another drama I love to watch. Again, I highly recommend for the more mature readers reading.

Tick, Tick… Boom! 

Not much is known about this film yet. It’ll be Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first film that he’s directed, and being the Lin-Manuel Miranda fan I am, I’m definitely watching it.

As you can see, I watch a large variety of titles! As I said, I definitely won’t be able to start and finish them all, but I’ll try.
